What is SyncView?

SyncView is a platform independent program that allows a user to view synchronized sets of images. The images can be of anything so long as they have some sort of standardized timestamp format.

How do I use SyncView?

Take a look at the documentation. It explains how to use SyncView. If something is still unclear, and I will try to explain it better and will also update the documentation to make it easier to understand.

What do I need to run SyncView?

To run SyncView you need two things: the Java 2 Runtime Environment 5.0 or higher and sources. The Java Runtime can be downloaded from Sun. You can run SyncView without any sources, but its not much fun, or particularly useful. Some very small sample sources are available from this site to give you an idea of what a source looks like. If you want some beefier sources you will have to go find them.

I have a suggestion for improvement, who should I tell?

Please with any suggestions, compliments, or constructive criticism. Its always nice to know people are using the programs I write.

I am on the Gigapixel Display team, how do I launch a quick SyncView demo?

There is a batch file located in the start menu on the VisBlocks labeled either SyncView or Linked Views. Click on it and it will launch a demo that will occupy the entire display area.
